Parsons and Van Boekel Commit
Submitted By Jeremy Jayaweera on Friday, July 21, 2017

18u catchers Jacob Parsons and Jacob Van Boekel will be continuing their academic and athletic careers this fall.

Parsons has committed to Lake Region State College in North Dakota. He has been with the Nationals for about 3 years now and has always brought something to the table. Parsons made the Youth team back in 2015 getting a chance to experience and play in a Canada Cup. In his 16u season Jacob was at the top when it came to RBI's and hits and is still continuing to thrive at the 18u level this season. Coach Williams will be getting a very good left-handed hitting catcher. We are very happy for Jacob and his family.

Van Boekel has committed to Queens University in Kingston, ON for this coming fall. Van Boekel is one of the hardest workers to come through the Nationals program. Day in and day out he does what he can to help his team. With a 4.0 GPA, Jacob will be pursuing a career in law at Queens and has earned himself a spot on the Varsity Baseball team. Jacob has been in the program for a couple years now, alongside his younger brother Greg who joined us this past season at the 15U level. Good luck to you Jacob and the entire Van Boekel family.
