Young, Bruinsma & MacKenzie commit
Submitted By Jeremy Jayaweera on Friday, June 23, 2017

RHP's Austin Young, David Bruinsma and Jayce MacKenzie have all committed to schools for the fall of 2017.

Young his headed to Coffeyville C.C. in Kansas joining many CPBL players in that prominent Kansas Jayhawk conference. Young led the league in strikeouts and wins last season in the 2016 division. This year Young has excelled at the 18u level using his 3-pitch repertoire at all times. He has been very consistent for us throughout his Nationals career and we wish him and his family nothing but the best.

Bruinsma his headed to Iowa Central C.C. in Fort Dodge, IA. Iowa Central finished this past season ranked #14 in the Nation at the Junior College level. Bruinsma joined the Nationals last season impressing the coaching staff with his unusual arm slot. David has developed very well over the past couple years taking advice and making it his own on the mound. We expect big things from David when he heads down to Iowa Central and we know he will make an immediate impact once he steps foot on campus.

MacKenzie his headed to McCook C.C. to join former National Johnny Guinta. MacKenzie has been with us for 4 years now and has consistently improved each year. MacKenzie is a steady warrior on the mound and will definitely help the Indians next year. Jayce has the ability to command three pitches and fill the zone consistently; we have no doubt he will continue his impressive career next fall in Nebraska.
